Arrest of a 30-Year-Old in Beni Mellal for Suspected Involvement in Intentional Murder and Arson
Beni Mellal police force successfully apprehended a 32-year-old man with a criminal record on the evening of September 1, suspected of being involved in an intentional murder coupled with arson to conceal the crime.
According to a security source, police began investigating on Saturday after discovering a body showing signs of severe physical assault, which had subsequently been set on fire in a remote area of the city. Intensive inquiries, supported by technical expertise, led to identifying the suspect, who was arrested later that same evening in a neighborhood of Beni Mellal.
The suspect has been placed in police custody by order of the relevant public prosecutor, pending the completion of investigations to clarify all circumstances surrounding this case and to determine the nature of the criminal acts attributed to him.
