Anas Bash joins the Moroccan national team to replace the injured Achraf Dari.
National coach Walid Regragui has decided to call up player Anas Bash to strengthen the Moroccan national team ahead of matches against Niger and Zambia, as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. This decision follows the injury of defender Achraf Dari, which has sidelined him from participation.
Bash’s call-up comes after his exceptional performance in recent times, especially with the local national team, where he contributed to the team’s victory in the African Nations Championship for local players, making him the ideal choice to replace Dari in the “Atlas Lions.”
The Moroccan national team will play their first match this evening, Friday, against Niger at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, before facing Zambia next Monday in Lusaka.
Regragui and Moroccan fans hope that Anas Bash’s inclusion will add strength and flexibility to the team as they aim for a strong start in the qualifying journey for the World Cup finals.
