A new shipping line enhances commercial connectivity between Spain and Casablanca. A Japanese shipping company has launched a new maritime route linking Spain to Morocco, with Valencia designated as a primary operations hub for this service.
Set to commence on October 16, the service aims to bolster trade relations between Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, according to El Mercantil. The service will offer weekly sailings from the CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal, first heading to Lisbon before proceeding to Morocco’s Casablanca, and then returning to Valencia. The voyage takes three days to reach Lisbon and six days to Casablanca.
The company has yet to disclose the names of the vessels that will operate the route, but it confirmed that the service will provide broader regional coverage and improved global connectivity via the Valencia transit hub.
This initiative is part of a strategy to expand the company’s network in the Mediterranean, where Valencia currently connects to Turkey and Morocco through routes that include Barcelona, alongside other services linking Algeciras to French Fos, Tangier, and Casablanca. The company ranks as the sixth largest container shipping firm in the world, managing transoceanic operations connecting Spain to Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
