A medical plane transports a child with a rare disease from Zagora to Rabat in an emergency situation
On Wednesday morning, the Zagora region witnessed an urgent humanitarian operation involving the transfer of a 3-year-old child from the Ait Haj Lahsaine village in the Tinzoulin commune, suffering from a rare disease, to the intensive care unit at the university hospital center in Rabat, aboard a medical plane equipped with all necessary facilities.
The intervention was coordinated between local and regional authorities, the regional health delegation, and the services of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, under the supervision of a specialized medical team in resuscitation and anesthesia, accompanied by a specialized nurse, with the presence of the child’s parents to ensure close monitoring of his condition.
Observers praised this swift action, considering it a reflection of the health authorities’ commitment to ensuring the right to access advanced medical services, particularly in cases involving children and patients with rare diseases.
