Forty Million Dirhams for the Renovation of Community Offices and Educational Institutions in Al Haouz and Ouarzazate

The High Atlas Development Agency has initiated a new phase in the reconstruction of areas affected by the Al Haouz earthquake of 2023, by announcing a package of public tenders exceeding 40 million dirhams, primarily aimed at renovating community offices and upgrading educational institutions in the regions of Ouarzazate and Al Haouz.

In Ouarzazate, an amount of 2.05 million dirhams has been allocated for the renovation of the offices of the municipalities of Khuzama, Serou, Tlouat, Ighrm Naukhdal, Amerskan, Ezneken, and Wislassat, in addition to 4.55 million dirhams for rebuilding the office of the municipality of Tarmeckt. The programs also cover several educational institutions, including Ghazali Junior High School (2.39 million dirhams), Mouhtar Soussi and its dormitory in Tidili (3.70 million dirhams), Ben Alami Hatimi in Taznakht (3.63 million dirhams), Ibn Tumerte in Ait Zenith (3 million dirhams), and Abdelkrim Khatabi in Ouarzazate (2.87 million dirhams).

Funding has also been designated for pioneering schools, such as the institutions in Tislit, Bouglar, and Taghouni Wislassat (1.85 million dirhams), and schools in Taznakht Akwins in Ezneken (1.81 million dirhams).

In the Al Haouz region, the agency has launched a wide-ranging tender for the rehabilitation of affected educational institutions, distributed over ten lots, covering multiple municipalities including Ijoukak, Asni, Ourika, Ghmate, Amzmiz, Sidi Fatima, and Ait Ourir, with a total cost nearing 28 million dirhams, ranging from 805 thousand dirhams to 5.8 million dirhams per lot.

These projects are part of a comprehensive vision aimed at ensuring the continuity of administrative and educational facilities and improving living conditions, thereby enhancing the dynamics of reconstruction and restoring normalcy in the affected regions.
