Wydad Faces Team from Azerbaijan

Wydad Athletic Club continues to sharpen its determination and recharge its energy during a preparatory journey in the mountains of Turkey, in anticipation of a season it hopes will be different and more stable on the path to victory.
Amid this rising tempo, the Azerbaijani team Turan Tovuz announced the date of a friendly match against the Red team on Tuesday, August 5, starting at 4 PM (GMT +1). This match is part of the physical and tactical preparation program for both parties.
This new encounter comes after Wydad’s inconsequential loss to Turkish club Kocaelispor, where they fell 2-0—a test that revealed expected signs of cohesion and the coach’s technical strategies to build a stronger team dynamic.
Wydad’s friendly tour will conclude with an Arab flavor as they face Qatari club Al Sadd on August 10, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, as part of the “Arab Cup” competition. The Reds aim to conclude their camp with greater confidence and renewed spirit.
