Two Arrested in Meknes with Over 1800 Drug Pills and Two Blades
Police in the Meknes Security Province arrested two individuals, aged 27 and 36, on Wednesday, August 20, on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking.
Security sources stated that the arrests were made based on precise information provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance at the entrance of Meknes, shortly after the suspects arrived in a vehicle from one of the northern cities of the country.
During the search, authorities discovered 1807 pills of “Rivotril” and “Ecstasy,” alongside a quantity of hashish, two blades, and a sum of money believed to be proceeds from this criminal activity.
The suspects have been placed under judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor to identify any potential further extensions of the criminal activity, as well as to apprehend other participants and accomplices involved in these acts.
