The Moroccan team has qualified for the final of the African Championship for Local Players, following a thrilling match against Senegal that ended in a 1-1 draw after regular and extra time. The “Atlas Lions” secured their spot with a 5-3 victory in the penalty shootout.
The match was highly competitive from the start, with Senegal taking an early lead in the 16th minute through Joseph Layoosi Sambi. However, Morocco quickly responded, with Saber Bougrine equalizing in the 23rd minute.
Despite multiple chances in the second half, neither team managed to score, maintaining the draw until the end of regular time.
In the extra periods, the score remained unchanged, leading to a penalty shootout that favored Morocco, setting up a final clash against Madagascar.
