A remarkable female presence at the Moulay Abdellah Amghar season highlights the skills of equestrian Dunia Azza.

The Moulay Abdellah Amghar season, one of Morocco’s premier equestrian gatherings, showcased a strong female representation, with rider Dunia Azza emerging as a new icon in the world of “tbourida.”

Three women’s teams participated in the event, but Dunia Azza’s team stood out, attracting the audience’s attention with a performance that combined discipline, passion, and complete control over the horses. From the moment of departure to the final gunshot, the display was harmonious and impressive, accompanied by warm applause and ululations from the crowd.

After the performance, Dunia Azza stated that her participation marks an important milestone for recognizing the merit of female riders in a historical sport once considered exclusive to men. She added, “Representing women in this sport is a responsibility I carry with pride.”

This year’s season seems to indicate a gradual shift in traditional equestrianism towards greater openness to female talent, embracing more inclusive and bold performances. For Dunia, this event is not an endpoint, but rather the beginning of a new equestrian journey that bridges tradition and modernity, paving the way for richer and more diverse future participations.
