Pakistan Confirms Depth of Relations with Morocco and Strengthens Economic Cooperation

Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari received Moroccan Ambassador Mohammed Kermoun at the Presidential Palace in Islamabad, where he praised the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Morocco, emphasizing the deep friendship between the two peoples and both countries’ desire to enhance economic and political cooperation.

Zardari noted that these relations are based on shared beliefs, similar values, and mutual respect, calling for the strengthening of ties in a manner that serves the interests of both nations.

The Pakistani president also expressed gratitude for the support provided by Morocco during the floods that affected Pakistan in 2022, explaining that this gesture reflects the deep friendship between the two brotherly nations.

Zardari affirmed his country’s commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation with Morocco across various fields, stressing the importance of economic relations and Islamabad’s desire to enhance economic partnership with Rabat. He pointed out that the African continent is poised for significant economic growth, and Morocco, thanks to its economic development, has the capacity to lead this transformation and contribute to regional prosperity.

The Pakistani president concluded the meeting by extending his best wishes to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for health and wellness, asking to convey the warm greetings of the people of Pakistan to the Moroccan king and nation.
