Official Statement: Judicial Investigation Opened Against a Woman for Offensive Remarks Regarding Islam
The public prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Rabat announced on Sunday, August 10, 2025, the initiation of a judicial investigation into a woman for posting a photo on her social media account wearing a shirt with offensive phrases about the divine, accompanied by a post that included an insult to Islam.
The statement clarified that the public prosecution ordered an inquiry into the matter, and due to its urgency, the individual in question was placed under provisional custody in accordance with legal provisions.
The same statement indicated that appropriate legal action would be taken based on the results of the investigations once they are completed.
