New Appointments in Key Positions to Enhance Public Security in Casablanca
The General Directorate of National Security announced on Sunday, August 10, a new wave of appointments in key positions within the leadership of urban policing in several security areas under the Casablanca Security Authority.
This movement, approved by General Director of National Security Abdelatif Hammouchi, involved internal transfers within the ranks of uniformed police officers, affecting heads of urban policing in the security zones of Fida Mersec Sultan, Hay Hassani, Rahma, Ben Msik, and Moulay Rachid, in addition to the regional security area in Mohammedia.
According to the Directorate’s data, these appointments aim to establish a new dynamic in the work of field units responsible for securing public areas, managing emergency police patrols, and protecting sensitive facilities and public spaces, ensuring a swift response to citizens’ daily security service needs.
This step is part of the General Directorate of National Security’s strategy to enhance the efficiency of human resources by assigning responsibilities to qualified personnel with advanced training, particularly as Morocco approaches the hosting of major sporting events, including the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 and the World Cup 2030.
