The Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy has announced that the tourism sector continued its outstanding performance in 2025, recording unprecedented revenues of 67 billion dirhams from January to July, representing a 13% increase compared to the same period last year.
In a statement, the ministry indicated that Morocco welcomed 11.6 million tourists in the first seven months of the current year, reflecting a 16% year-on-year increase. It added that this dynamism has positively impacted hard currency revenues, which rose by approximately 7.5 billion dirhams compared to the previous year.
July alone witnessed exceptional performance, with tourism revenues reaching 13 billion dirhams, a remarkable increase of 26% compared to the same month in 2024.
Tourism Minister Fatima Zahra Amour confirmed that these results demonstrate the growing impact of the sector on the national economy. She emphasized that the increasing number of arrivals and investments in tourism products enhance Morocco’s position as a high-value destination, stressing that efforts will continue to maintain this positive momentum.
