Morocco Sends Urgent Aid to Gaza: “A Gesture of Hope” to Alleviate Residents’ Suffering
Ricardo Sanchez Cera, Vice President of the Peruvian Journalists Union, described King Mohammed VI’s decision to send additional humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as “a gesture of hope” aimed at alleviating the suffering of the population. Cera emphasized that this initiative reflects the King’s enduring commitment to the Palestinian cause and his sensitivity to the challenging humanitarian situation in the region.
He explained that the aid includes 100 tons of food and medicine, urgently directed towards the most vulnerable groups, particularly children and infants living in conditions of fear and uncertainty. He noted that the King ensured the assistance would be delivered directly to beneficiaries via planes, without intermediaries or delays, to manifest Moroccan solidarity in a tangible and effective manner.
Cera concluded his statements by affirming that this initiative is part of the ongoing humanitarian commitment of the King, as Chair of the Al-Quds Committee, in supporting the Palestinians over the years, making it an extension of a long history of royal positions supportive of the Palestinian cause.
