Morocco and Egypt Strengthen Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence
Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal Al-Falahi, held discussions via videoconference with Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat, focused on exploring ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of artificial intelligence.
The Egyptian minister praised Morocco’s progress in this area, considering it a regional model contributing to shared goals such as enhancing transparency, improving public services, and developing the digital economy, according to a statement from the Moroccan ministry.
For her part, Al-Falahi highlighted the dynamism of the digital transformation project in the kingdom, in line with royal directives, reaffirming Morocco’s commitment to sharing its expertise with Egypt and exploring new avenues of cooperation that align with global technological transformations.
Both sides also discussed the Egyptian initiative to establish an Arab Ministerial Council for Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies, which is set to be presented during the regular session of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League on September 1st.
In this context, the Egyptian minister invited the Moroccan minister to participate in the first edition of the “Everything AI World” Summit and Exhibition, scheduled to take place from February 10 to 12, 2026, in Egypt.
The two ministers concluded their talks by reaffirming their commitment to continue close coordination to keep pace with technological transformations and contribute to sustainable development and the welfare of the peoples of both countries.
