Morocco and Egypt Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation Through a Phone Call Between Foreign Ministers
Morocco and Egypt have affirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across various fields during a phone call on Friday between Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad, and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel Atti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry reported that the call addressed ways to develop joint cooperation between the two countries, in addition to exchanging views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
During the conversation, Bourita highlighted the deep historical ties between Morocco and Egypt, praising the fraternity and solidarity existing between their peoples. He emphasized the need to advance bilateral relations towards greater integration, in line with the aspirations of the leaders of both countries, King Mohammed VI and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
The Moroccan minister reiterated Morocco’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Egypt, particularly in political, economic, and investment aspects, as well as enhancing cultural and educational exchanges to serve mutual interests and support stability and development in the region.
The call concluded with a commitment to continue regular consultation and coordination between the two countries and to intensify efforts to address regional and international challenges, reinforcing Morocco and Egypt’s roles as pivotal forces in the Arab and African worlds.
