French club Lille has finalized the signing of Moroccan international Hamza Eigamen from Scottish side Glasgow Rangers for a fee of €10.5 million. The deal secures the player for five years, allowing him to continue his professional career in one of Europe’s top leagues.

The 22-year-old Eigamen successfully completed his medical examinations this morning before officially signing his contract with the French club, following a final agreement between Lille’s management, Rangers, and the player.

Royal Army Club, from which Eigamen graduated before his professional stint in Scotland, will benefit financially from the transaction due to a sell-on clause included in his previous transfer to Rangers.

Last season, the Moroccan striker delivered impressive performances while wearing the Rangers jersey, participating in 46 matches, scoring 16 goals, and providing three assists, establishing himself as a key offensive player for the team. He also reinforced his presence in the Moroccan national team lineup.

National team coach Walid Regragui praised Eigamen’s move to the French league, considering it a significant step in his development, during the press conference announcing the “Atlas Lions” squad for the matches against Niger and Zambia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

With his signing at Lille, Eigamen opens a new chapter in his football career, continuing his upward trajectory that began at Royal Army, passed through a successful spell at Rangers, and now leads him to the French league, where he will have the opportunity to experience top-level competition.
