“Guizhou Tyre” Chooses Morocco as a Destination to Expand Its International Presence
Morocco is preparing to welcome a new industrial investment in the tire sector, as the Chinese company “Guizhou Tyre,” specializing in truck and bus tires, announced its intention to establish a local production project. This will be the company’s second venture outside of China, following its experience in Vietnam.
The project is still in its early stages, as the company is currently working on a detailed feasibility study to determine the nature and size of the investments before approaching Moroccan authorities for the necessary licenses. This step reflects the Chinese operator’s desire to enhance its international presence and distribute its production globally, thereby increasing its competitiveness in multiple markets.
The choice of Morocco is no coincidence; the kingdom has become an emerging industrial hub thanks to its strategic location as a gateway between Europe and Africa, along with its advanced infrastructure and export platforms. This was previously demonstrated when another Chinese company, Sentury Tire, launched a factory in Tangier primarily aimed at the American market.
Should the “Guizhou Tyre” project come to fruition, it would represent a significant addition to the national industrial fabric and strengthen Morocco’s position as a preferred regional platform for the manufacturing and export of tires to global markets, aligning with the kingdom’s drive to attract advanced industries with high added value.
