A Gazan child holding a piece of Moroccan biscuit… a photo that encapsulates the human warmth of Morocco in times of war.

A photo of a Palestinian child from Gaza, holding a piece of Moroccan “Hernis” biscuit, has sparked widespread interaction on social media platforms. The image was captured during a moment of humanitarian aid distribution ordered by King Mohammed VI, touching the hearts of thousands who saw it as a silent yet profoundly impactful scene.

Despite its simplicity, this scene carried a powerful connotation. It revealed the depth of Moroccan solidarity with the Palestinian people, a solidarity that requires no slogans or media lenses, but is instead expressed on the ground, amidst hunger and pain, where children await any food to ease their hunger.

In contrast to grand speeches and performative stances, Morocco chooses to direct its support where it truly makes a difference. The message arrives quietly, through actions rather than words, and through the field rather than platforms. This reflects the humanitarian philosophy of Moroccan diplomacy, which prioritizes people first.

In this context, and in loyalty to its steadfast commitments, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as the President of the Jerusalem Committee, has issued high directives to send urgent humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza. This initiative is part of a series of previous efforts united by a common thread: Morocco’s on-ground presence alongside Palestinians in critical times.

This aid consists of 180 tons of essential goods, including food, milk, children’s supplies, medicines, tents, and blankets. The comprehensive shipment has been carefully designed to meet the actual needs of the most vulnerable groups, especially amid ongoing aggression and a suffocating blockade.

To ensure effectiveness, these supplies are being transported via a specific route that takes into account the conditions of war and shortens transit time, reflecting Morocco’s commitment to providing practical support, free from bureaucracy and delays. The humanitarian action here is not merely an initiative but a comprehensive vision for rapid and organized intervention.

Thus, Morocco reaffirms that its stance on the Palestinian issue is neither circumstantial nor selective. It is a historical commitment, driven by a firm belief that true solidarity is measured by what reaches the hands of a hungry child, not by what is reported in the news.
