Watford Signs Moroccan Player Oussama Maâloul With a Four-Year Contract

The English club Watford officially announced yesterday, Friday, the signing of rising Moroccan talent Oussama Maâloul, aged 19, from Montpellier in France, in a deal that extends for four seasons.

This transfer comes to strengthen the English team’s ambitions to return to the Premier League, benefiting from the technical and tactical skills of the Moroccan player, who has stood out remarkably in recent months. During the last season, Maâloul played 12 matches in Ligue 1 with Montpellier, scoring one goal and providing an assist, despite his young age and limited minutes on the pitch.

The player also made a significant impression with the Moroccan U-20 national team during their participation in the recent Africa U-20 Cup of Nations held in Egypt, where he was among the standout stars of the “Atlas Cubs” and contributed to their reaching the final match. He was also selected for the tournament’s ideal lineup, thanks to his impressive performance in the attacking midfield.

Maâloul’s move to Watford is seen as a new step in his professional career, potentially opening broader horizons for him in the English league, known for its high standards, thereby enhancing his ambition to secure a place in the national senior team in the future.
