Digital Transition Minister Participates in Summer University on Digitalization and Emphasizes the Importance of Cybersecurity

On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal Al-Fallah Sgrouchni, participated in the second session of the Summer University on Digitalization, organized by the Lalla Asmaa Foundation, the Faculty of Science in Rabat, and the Digital University, under the theme “Comprehensive Cybersecurity: A Pillar of Digital Transformation and Development of Digital Culture.”

During her speech, the minister stated that digitalization represents a significant strategic opportunity for Africa, pointing out that cybersecurity was central to the discussions held during the recent national conference on artificial intelligence, organized by the ministry to outline a national roadmap for building reliable artificial intelligence aligned with Morocco’s priorities.

She stressed that ensuring cybersecurity involves not only preventive measures and monitoring but also the integration of modern technology to ensure greater effectiveness in combating digital threats.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Omar Sgrouchni, President of the National Commission for the Protection of Personal Data, the president of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation, and Karim Saqli, Dean of the Faculty of Science in Rabat, alongside officials and experts in the field of digital transformation and cybersecurity.
