The government council will hold its weekly meeting next Thursday, chaired by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, to discuss several draft laws, agreements, and proposals for high-ranking appointments.

A statement released by the Prime Minister’s office indicated that the council will commence its deliberations by examining three draft laws. The first pertains to amendments to the personal status law, while the second concerns the protection of stray animals and the prevention of dangers that may arise from them. The third draft law involves the establishment of a new institution called “Morocco 2030.”

The council’s agenda will continue with the consideration of a draft decree related to determining the composition of the committee established by the law on postal and communications services. Additionally, the council will address an agreement on the extradition of wanted persons signed between Morocco and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on November 13, 2024, in Riyadh, alongside a draft law approving the aforementioned agreement.

The meeting will conclude with a review of several proposals for high-ranking appointments, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Moroccan Constitution.
