In a political meeting dedicated to discussing current national and international developments, the political bureau of the National Rally of Independents expressed its strong condemnation of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip during a session in Rabat on Thursday evening. They reaffirmed Morocco’s steadfast position on the Palestinian cause.
In this context, the party recalled the appeals of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Al-Quds Committee, who has emphasized on multiple occasions the urgent need for international action to protect Palestinian civilians and ensure unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the residents of the Strip. The political bureau also reiterated its commitment to the established principles of Moroccan diplomacy, which are based on respect for international legitimacy, the two-state solution, and the option of peace and stability in the region.
The meeting, chaired by the party president Aziz Akhannouch, also included a comprehensive presentation on the current political, social, and economic situation, as well as discussions on internal organizational issues related to the party’s structure and field performance.
At the beginning of the session, the members of the political bureau noted the approaching 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s ascension to the throne, considering the occasion a powerful symbolic moment to renew loyalty and allegiance to the glorious Alaouite throne, and to reflect on the major reforms that Morocco has undergone under royal leadership, which have positioned the country as a stable and influential developmental model in its regional and international context.
