The criminal chamber of the Court of Appeals in Errachidia issued a thirty-year sentence yesterday to a student accused of killing a French language teacher.

The court’s decision followed deliberations and the defendant’s final statement, along with his defense, concerning the circumstances of this heinous incident that shocked the local community in Errachidia.

On Thursday, March 27, 2025, the tragic story unfolded when a twenty-something student assaulted his teacher as she entered the vocational training center in Arfoud, attacking her with a sharp object to the head and neck.

The judicial police in Errachidia quickly apprehended the perpetrator, who was then subjected to inquiries and investigations under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor to ascertain the true reasons behind the incident.
