Preparations began in early June, including communication with members and the preparation of necessary legal documents, as well as opening the floor for new members to join.

The assembly opened with a speech from the founding president, Mourad Hab, who called for the completion of legal procedures, such as filing reports with the court and registering the cooperative with the tax authority. He also emphasized the need to maintain the kiosks and present a comprehensive project for the youth platform under the National Initiative for Human Development, aiming to ensure the project’s continuity and enhance its local impact.

The founding president pointed out the importance of integrating workers in the recyclable waste collection sector into the cooperative system, aligning with national policies that support social and environmental economies.

The general assembly concluded with the election of a new board, with Hassan Chaab selected as the cooperative’s new president. The new president pledged to develop the project, expand the beneficiary base, and strengthen cooperation with various partners.
