Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts Friday Trading with Slight Decline in the “MASI” Index
The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened trading on Friday with a slight decrease, as its main index “MASI” fell by 0.04% to settle at 18,583.25 points.
The “MASI.20” index, which measures the performance of the top 20 listed companies, increased slightly by 0.02% to reach 1,524.24 points, while the “MASI.ESG” index, focused on companies with better environmental, social, and governance ratings, also saw a similar rise, reaching 1,289.02 points.
Conversely, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which reflects the performance of small and medium enterprises, declined by 0.32% to settle at 1,772.11 points.
The “MASI” index had concluded Thursday’s session with an increase of 0.39%.
