Raja SC refers FIFA to sue Al Ain and Hossin Rahimi over “legal breach”

Abdullah Berwain, the former president of Raja Sports Club, announced that the club’s management has officially filed a complaint with the Disputes Committee of FIFA against Al Ain SC and striker Hossin Rahimi, following what he described as a “legal breach” regarding the player’s transfer to the UAE league.

During his remarks at the general assembly, Berwain confirmed that the complaint has been formally activated and is expected to be submitted to FIFA next week, with official notification set for Wednesday.

He explained that Raja is seeking a financial compensation of 2 million euros, arguing that the player’s signing with Al Ain before the end of his contract with Raja constitutes a “clear legal error,” noting that FIFA is the competent authority to resolve this matter after receiving all the necessary documents and information.

Al Ain SC had announced its contract with Hossin Rahimi for four years, a deal that has sparked widespread controversy, especially since Raja asserts that the player’s contract was still valid until June 30, which they view as an infringement of the club’s rights.

Raja’s management is relying on legal procedures to recover its financial and moral rights, with club officials confirming their commitment to following the legal route and defending the team’s interests before the relevant international bodies.
