Operation “Marhaban 2025” Sees Increase in Number of Moroccan Expatriates Arriving
Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation Minister Nasser Bourita has reported that the number of Moroccan nationals who entered the country as part of Operation “Marhaban 2025” reached a total of 1,520,951 people as of July 10th, marking an increase of 13.30 percent compared to the same period last year.
In a presentation before the government council, the minister also noted that 151,411 vehicles had been recorded entering the country, representing a rise of 3.56 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
Mustafa Baytas, Minister in charge of Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesman, emphasized in a press conference following the council meeting that Bourita stressed the continued mobilization of all stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the transit process.
He highlighted that efforts are being made through a participatory approach, implemented by various government sectors, public bodies, security services, and local authorities, alongside the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity. This aligns with the royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aimed at facilitating the return of Moroccan expatriates to their homeland in a safe and favorable environment.
