Nizar Baraka, Minister of Equipment and Water, welcomed Nadia Hai, the French Ambassador and Minister Delegate for the Mediterranean, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the ministry’s headquarters in Rabat. This marks her first official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.

This meeting served as an opportunity to enhance the positive dynamics of Moroccan-French relations and explore new horizons for developing bilateral partnerships in vital sectors.

Both sides discussed ways to expand cooperation to include various sectors, alongside addressing major environmental challenges facing the Mediterranean region, particularly in light of climate change implications, which necessitate the exchange of expertise and the development of innovative, proactive, and adaptive solutions.

In this context, the two parties exchanged views on a range of innovative technical solutions being implemented by Morocco and France to tackle the water stress crisis. They also addressed potential cooperation in the green transition of Moroccan ports.
