“Memories Passed” Honors Sports Journalist Mohamed Rouhli on Tangier Radio

Today, Thursday evening, the regional radio station of Tangier will air a new episode of the program “Memories Passed,” focusing on the professional journey of sports journalist Mohamed Rouhli, also known as “Abu Ghali,” whose career spans over four decades in sports journalism.

Rouhli, also referred to as the “Sinbad of Moroccan Sports Journalism,” is recognized as a prominent figure who closely followed major international sporting events, from the Olympic Games and the World Cup to the Africa Cup of Nations, World Championships in Athletics, and the Davis Cup in tennis, alongside conferences of the International Football Federation and sports journalism.

The episode will be broadcast live starting at 8:30 PM, lasting until 10 PM, featuring several notable individuals from the sports and media fields who will provide testimonies in honor of the honoree, including:

  • Aziz Daouda, former technical director of the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation and current technical director of the African Athletics Confederation.
  • Mohamed Abu Al-Sahl, vice president of the Moroccan Association of Sports Journalism and head of the sports department at MFM station.
  • Abdellatif Al-Moutekal, president of the Federation of Sports Journalism Associations, president of the Moroccan Association of Sports Journalists, and head of the sports section at the newspaper “Message of the Nation.”

The program “Memories Passed” has previously dedicated tribute episodes to significant figures in sports journalism, including the late Mohamed Al-Izawi and Al-Hussein Al-Hayani, as well as Badr Al-Din Al-Idrisi, Said Zidouq, Khalid Yassine, Hassan Al-Atafi, and Hassan Al-Haliri.

The episode will be presented by colleague Hamid Al-Naqrachi and will be rebroadcast at midnight.

This is a moment to witness sincere moments, touching testimonials, and a deserving tribute to a journalist who has remained loyal to the profession, present at the heart of events, and committed to the message of sports journalism.
