“Memories Crossed”: Celebrating Sports Journalist Mohamed Rouhli on Tangier Radio

Tangier regional radio station will dedicate a new episode of the program “Memories Crossed” this Thursday evening to highlight the professional journey of sports journalist Mohamed Rouhli, known by the nickname “Abu Ghali,” who has served sports journalism for over four decades.

Rouhli, who is also referred to as “Sindbad of Moroccan sports journalism,” is considered one of the prominent figures closely following major international sports events, from the Olympics and the World Cup to the African Cup, as well as World Athletics Championships and the Davis Cup in tennis, and conferences of both FIFA and the international sports press.

The episode will be broadcast live starting at 8:30 PM and will run until 10 PM, featuring several notable names in the sports and media fields who will share testimonials in honor of the guest of the evening, including:

– Aziz Daouda, former technical director of the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation and current technical director of the Confederation of African Athletics.
– Mohamed Abu Alsahl, deputy president of the Moroccan Sports Press Association and head of the sports department at MFM radio station.
– Abdel Latif Metoukel, president of the Federation of Sports Press Associations, head of the Moroccan Sports Journalists League, and head of the sports section at the newspaper “Risala Al-Umma.”

The program “Memories Crossed” has previously dedicated tribute episodes to prominent names in sports journalism, including the late Mohamad Al-Azawi and Al-Hussein Al-Hayani, as well as Badr Eddin Al-Idrissi, Said Zaddouq, Khalid Yassine, Hassan Al-Atafi, and Hassan Al-Hariri.

Today’s episode will be hosted by colleague Hamid Al-Nqrachi, with a rebroadcast scheduled for midnight.

The appointment, then, is set for sincere moments, touching testimonials, and a well-deserved tribute to a journalist who has remained loyal to his profession, present at the heart of events, and committed to the message of sports journalism.
