French President Emmanuel Macron received Rachid Talbi Alami, the Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives, along with several parliamentary leaders participating in the 50th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie, held in Paris from July 9 to 13.
Talbi Alami heads the Moroccan parliamentary delegation for this session, which includes MPs Hassan Ben Omar, Al-Hussein Awal, Latifa Leblil, as well as members from the House of Councillors: Reda Hammaini, Youssef El Aloui, Mohamed Zidouh, and Mouna Hamdani.
The Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie, established in 1967, is an international organization consisting of 95 national parliaments and parliamentary organizations representing five continents. Its mission is to promote democracy, human rights, and the rule of law within the Francophone space. It also aims to encourage dialogue and exchange of parliamentary expertise, support cultural and linguistic diversity, and contribute to sustainable development and economic cooperation through parliamentary initiatives and recommendations directed at governments and international organizations.
