After just one week in charge of Raja Club Athletic, Jawad Ziyat, the president of the green team, finds himself faced with a myriad of issues and debts that must be resolved before the start of the upcoming football season, in which the “Eagles” aim to return to their winning ways.
Sources from “Express TV” reported that debts left by former president Adel Hala, concerning player dues, will be among the major challenges Ziyat encounters during the early weeks of his presidency, particularly involving players placed on the transfer list by coach Saad Jarda Shabi, who are leaving the club without receiving their full financial dues.
Tunisian player Imamo has also joined the list of players demanding their rights, having been brought in by the previous president Adel Hala to bolster the team’s defense. However, he failed to impress the various coaches who took charge of Raja last season. It is expected that this week, a meeting will take place between the Tunisian player and Ziyat to reach a final solution after being placed on the transfer list.
Ziyat is also expected to meet this week with officials from “Marssa Maroc,” which has been chosen as the club’s main sponsor and holds the majority stakes in the new Raja company, in line with the team and the Moroccan Royal Football Federation’s new strategy to enhance the development of national football clubs.
