In a move that reaffirms the great trust in his work, the Jordanian Football Association has renewed its confidence in Moroccan coach Jamal Salami, announcing his continuation at the helm of the “Nashama” national team after his historic achievement of leading the team to its first-ever qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Samar Nassar, the head of the association, confirmed in statements to “Al-Mamlaka” channel that Salami will lead the Jordanian team during the World Cup finals, with his contract extending until 2027, allowing him to also be present at the upcoming Asian Cup finals.
Nassar clarified that the Moroccan coach works within a professional technical team and relies on a modern approach to management and training, noting that his selection was not only for the sake of qualification but also to build a competitive team that blends experience with vitality by integrating a new generation of players.
This decision comes to put an end to recent rumors regarding Salami’s future and to provide technical stability for the Jordanian team ahead of participating in the largest football events worldwide.
