Digitalization at the Heart of African Cooperation: Morocco Strengthens Partnership for Sustainable Digital Development

Minister Amal Al-Falih Al-Sagrooshni participated in welcoming a delegation from the African Council for Digital Institutions and Agencies (CAITA), emphasizing the necessity of digitalizing and modernizing administration. She stressed that no administrative reform can be achieved without effective digitalization and governance.

The minister expressed her department’s commitment, in partnership with the Digital Development Agency, to realizing this digital transformation with renewed dynamism in collaboration with the Smart Africa Alliance under CAITA’s leadership, aiming for measurable tangible results.

She also discussed the "Digital for Sustainable Development" (D4SD) initiative, implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), aimed at launching cooperative projects in Africa addressing strategic issues aligned with the 2063 Agenda goals.

The meeting witnessed the presence of delegations from several African countries, including Burkina Faso, Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Comoros, Ghana, Gabon, Mauritania, Nigeria, Tunisia, and Zambia, reflecting the vibrancy of African cooperation in the digital field.

This visit falls within the framework of royal directives aimed at supporting South-South cooperation and reaffirming Morocco’s strong intention to contribute to the development of a comprehensive and effective digital Africa.
