Delegations from regions and provinces renew their allegiance and loyalty to His Majesty the King at the Loyalty Ceremony in Tetouan.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and Prince Moulay Ahmed, presided over the Loyalty Ceremony on Thursday afternoon in the Mechouar Square at the royal palace in Tetouan. This event commemorates the 26th anniversary of His Majesty’s ascension to the throne.

The ceremony began with a presentation by Minister of Interior Abdelouafi Laftit, who, accompanied by governors and delegates from different regions and provinces of the Kingdom, pledged loyalty and obedience to the Commander of the Faithful.

The proceedings continued with delegations and representatives from various regions and provinces across the Kingdom renewing their allegiance, in a deep-rooted tradition that underscores the profound bond between the throne and the people. The delegations represented the following regions:

– Dakhla – Oued Ed-Dahab (Oued Ed-Dahab, Aousserd)
– Laayoune – Sakia El Hamra (Laayoune, Boujdour, Tarfaya, Smara)
– Guelmim – Oued Noun (Guelmim, Assa – Zag, Tan-Tan, Sidi Ifni)
– Tangier – Tetouan – Al Hoceima (Tangier – Asilah, Mdiq – Fnideq, Tetouan, Fahs – Anjra, Larache, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Wazzan)
– Oriental Region (Oujda – Angad, Nador, Driouch, Jerada, Berkane, Taourirt, Kserif, Figuig)
– Fez – Meknes (Fez, Meknes, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, Boulemane, Taounate, Taza)
– Rabat – Salé – Kenitra (Rabat, Salé, Skhirat – Temara, Kenitra, Khemisset, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane)
– Beni Mellal – Khénifra (Beni Mellal, Azilal, Fqih Ben Saleh, Khénifra, Khouribga)

– Souss – Massa (Agadir Ida Outhan, Inzegane Ait Melloul, Chtouka Ait Baha, Taroudant, Tiznit, Tata)

The ceremony concluded, reflecting the deep national and historical connection between the throne and the people, with the firing of five cannon shots as His Majesty responded to the greetings and cheers with his hands, depicting a genuine solidarity between the leader and his people.

This prominent event also marked the culmination of FEAST OF THE THRONE celebrations, wherein representatives of the twelve regions expressed their renewed loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty, affirming that fealty remains an institutional bond that strengthens the unity and continuity of the nation.

Several high-ranking state officials attended the ceremony, including the Prime Minister, the Presidents of the two Houses of Parliament, Royal Advisors, government members, heads of constitutional institutions, senior officers of the High Command of the Royal Armed Forces, and both civilian and military figures.
