A coordination meeting was held yesterday, Wednesday, at the Court of First Instance in Dakhla, between the competent public prosecutor’s office and the judicial police services.

The meeting was chaired by the public prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Dakhla, Rashid Kerdam, and attended by several security officials, including the head of the city’s judicial police, as well as representatives from the Royal Gendarmerie, represented by the heads of judicial centers in Dakhla and Aousserd, along with local center leaders.

Initially, the public prosecutor praised the efforts made by the various parties involved in the preliminary investigation, highlighting their commitment to upholding the law and promoting its authority. He then discussed the current situation regarding the preliminary inquiries related to complaints and reports that are still under investigation.

During this meeting, obstacles and challenges faced by judicial police officers in carrying out their duties were addressed, along with the search for effective solutions to overcome them.

The public prosecutor emphasized the need to adhere to the recommendations of the regional coordination committee, chaired by the Attorney General in Laayoune, which calls for respecting judicial timelines in processing reports and handling citizens’ complaints.

This gathering serves as an opportunity to reiterate the importance of continuing to implement the provisions of criminal policy at the local level, aimed at ensuring security and justice that respond to the citizens’ aspirations.
