Report: Complex Negotiations Hinder Reda Slim’s Transfer to Wydad

Negotiations for the transfer of player Reda Slim from Al Ahly SC to Wydad Athletic Club have encountered significant difficulties, despite Slim being regarded as one of Wydad’s key targets during the current summer transfer window.
Wydad had hoped to bolster its squad with players possessing strong experience and African expertise in preparation for upcoming competitions, including the CAF Confederation Cup.
Sources close to “Kooora” revealed that the delay in finalizing the deal is mainly due to the high financial demands set by Al Ahly, which did not align with Wydad’s management’s expectations. Additionally, the player’s own position remains unclear, as he has yet to make a final decision regarding his return to the national professional league.
Nevertheless, communications between all parties continue in an effort to reach a satisfactory agreement and resume the negotiations, particularly as Wydad is eager to sign players with extensive continental experience.
