Ahmed Tawfiq Announces Deadline for Hajj Expenses Payment
The Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Tawfiq, announced on Wednesday in Rabat that the collection process for the lump sum of Hajj expenses for the 1447 AH season will start between July 21 and August 8, 2025, with a set amount of 65,000 dirhams, subject to adjustment later based on the actual final costs.
Tawfiq clarified during a meeting of the Royal Commission for Hajj that this measure aligns with the timeline established by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, adding that the announced amount represents a lump sum payment that may increase or decrease based on the final data for organizing the season.
The Minister emphasized that arrangements for this season include mandatory medical examinations for selected citizens performing the pilgrimage, aimed at ensuring their physical and mental well-being. The results of the examinations must be submitted to the Ministry of Interior to acquire the selection certificate.
Eligible pilgrims will need to visit “Barid Bank” branches during the specified period, accompanied by their selection certificate and national ID card, to pay the Hajj expenses according to the official procedures.
Regarding air transport, Tawfiq indicated that the ticket price for officially organized pilgrims has been set at 12,400 dirhams, inclusive of all fees.
