Abdelnabaoui Elected President of the Association of Supreme Courts of Francophone Countries by Unanimous Agreement of Members in Rabat

Mohamed Abdelnabaoui was elected as the new president of the Association of Supreme Courts of Francophone Countries during a meeting held in Rabat from July 2 to 4, 2025. He is the first president of the Court of Cassation and the appointed president of the Higher Council of the Judicial Authority.

The election was unanimous among the attending members and is seen as a culmination of Morocco’s standing in the Francophone judicial arena, reflecting the confidence of international partners in the Moroccan judicial experience.

Participants highlighted the dynamism of the judicial authority in the Kingdom and the increasing roles it plays under the directives of King Mohammed VI, which bolster Morocco’s judicial and diplomatic presence on the international stage.

The Association of Supreme Courts of Francophone Countries includes the highest judicial bodies of nations that use the French language and focuses on supporting judicial cooperation, sharing practices and expertise, enhancing judicial independence, and developing its efficiency within this common space.
