A Spanish newspaper, La Vanguardia, has reported that Morocco is one of the safest countries in Africa regarding its business climate. This is attributed to the pace of its economic modernization and its political and economic stability.

The report highlights the increased presence of Spanish companies in Morocco, reflecting a growing interest in the opportunities available in the Kingdom, whether through direct investments or industrial partnerships.

The newspaper noted that a recent economic mission from Catalonia visited Marrakech, organized by the “Harvard Group,” a platform that brings together Spanish business leaders. The aim was to assess the development of the business climate in Morocco and identify promising partnership opportunities.

The data presented by the newspaper confirmed the stability of Morocco’s macroeconomic framework, its openness to international markets, and the dynamism witnessed in the infrastructure, logistics, renewable energy, pharmaceutical, automotive, and tourism sectors.

Participants in this mission observed the progress Morocco has made in these areas. The newspaper described the Kingdom as a first-rate strategic partner in North Africa.

Additionally, the report mentioned Morocco’s control over inflation rates and the stability of its national currency, alongside its free trade agreements with markets containing over 2.5 billion consumers.

The tourism sector also piqued the interest of participants. Marrakech showcased a model based on international quality standards and the enhancement of cultural heritage, aligning with the desires of visitors seeking authentic, sustainable experiences that respect local identities.

La Vanguardia concluded that the visit to Marrakech allowed participants to recognize the rapid modernization of the Moroccan economy and provided them with a platform to formulate recommendations aimed at enhancing organized bilateral cooperation based on resource integration, geographical proximity, and a shared developmental vision for the region.
