A New Campaign Against the “Kararis” in Casablanca
A new campaign has been launched targeting owners of “kararis,” the handcarts selling fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices, especially compared to shop owners in markets who have expressed their anger and protests about this phenomenon to the authorities at various local offices throughout Casablanca.
In the heart of the economic capital, a significant operation is underway against the “karari” vendors, with some having their products and carts confiscated, while others were allowed to leave under the pretext of one last chance to gather their goods before further seizures in upcoming campaigns. Officials told “Express TV” that these operations will become regular and daily to eliminate the issue of “kararis,” which detracts from the overall appearance of the streets and alleys in the city, which is undergoing extensive renovations in all its neighborhoods.
