Wydad Loses to Al Ain

Wydad Athletic Club concluded its participation in the FIFA Club World Cup with a 2-1 defeat against UAE’s Al Ain in a match held on Thursday evening as part of the third round of the group stage.
The red brigade took an early lead with a goal from player Cassius Mailola in the fourth minute of the encounter at the “Audy Field” stadium.
Laba Kodjo succeeded in equalizing via a penalty in the 45+1 minute, ending the first half with neither team prevailing.
After the break, Al Ain managed to score the winning goal in the 50th minute, courtesy of player Alejandro Romero Kaku.
With this result, Wydad Athletic Club failed to secure any victories in the continental competition, finding itself at the bottom of the group standings, while Al Ain occupies third place with 3 points.
