Saghrouchni: Morocco Renews Its Commitment to Strengthening African Cooperation through Institutions and Economic Integration

On Friday, Minister Amal Filah Saghrouchni participated in the parliamentary forum on economic cooperation between Morocco and the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) in Laayoune, alongside Speaker of the House of Councillors Mohamed Ould Rachid, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Competencies Younes Skouri, CEMAC President Everiste Nganimana, and several senior officials.

In her speech, the Minister affirmed that this forum embodies the visionary outlook of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, for a genuine and balanced South-South partnership, and promising cooperation that holds bright prospects between the Kingdom and Central African countries, based on mutual interest, respect, and economic integration. She also praised CEMAC’s efforts in regional integration and its commitment to achieving the structural transformation of its economies.

She further noted that the history of Moroccan-African cooperation is also a history of institutions. In this context, she referenced the “CAFRAD” Center, which she heads, as a symbol of this long tradition of exchange among African countries. She explained that the center, established at the initiative of the late King Hassan II, continues to serve as a distinguished framework for training, research, and innovation in public governance in Africa.
