Russian Defense Ministry Announces Liberation of Avdiivka, Inflicts Heavy Losses on Ukrainian Forces in Donetsk

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced the liberation of the town of Avdiivka in the Donetsk Republic, confirming significant human and material losses inflicted on Ukrainian forces within 24 hours of military operations.

In its daily statement on the progress of operations in Ukraine, the ministry revealed that the “Southern” forces managed to establish control over Avdiivka, resulting in 190 enemy fatalities, alongside the destruction of one armored vehicle, four vehicles, and an electronic warfare station.

On the other fronts, the “Northern” forces fortified their positions in the Sumy region, causing 235 Ukrainian fatalities in Kharkiv, in addition to the destruction of two armored vehicles, six vehicles, seven artillery pieces, and two ammunition depots.

The “Western” forces also reinforced their positions in Kharkiv and Donetsk, with their operations leading to the death of 220 Ukrainian soldiers, along with the destruction of one armored vehicle, eleven vehicles, one artillery piece, three electronic warfare stations, and three ammunition depots.

In the southern front, the “Central” forces continued their advance in Donetsk, inflicting 230 casualties on Ukrainian forces, while destroying six armored vehicles, eight vehicles, and three artillery pieces.

Meanwhile, the “Eastern” forces pressed forward in Donetsk, resulting in 190 Ukrainian soldier fatalities and the destruction of one tank, two armored vehicles, two vehicles, three artillery pieces, and one electronic warfare station.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, the “Dnieper” forces caused 60 enemy casualties, in addition to destroying ten vehicles, five electronic warfare stations, and two ammunition depots.

Russian forces also conducted attacks targeting Ukrainian port infrastructure, drone assembly workshops, and storage facilities.

Regarding air defense, the ministry announced the downing of two American-guided bombs of the “JDAM” model, one long-range guided missile of the “Neptune” type, and 168 drones during the recent operations.
