The Royal Institute of Police in Kenitra hosted a study day on June 23, focusing on the topic “Protecting Forest and Wildlife Wealth: A Legal Responsibility and National Duty.” The event was organized by the General Directorate of National Security in partnership with the National Water and Forests Agency.

The program included presentations and interactive discussions led by several specialized officials, emphasizing mechanisms for partnership and coordination among public institutions to protect natural life nationally. The importance of specialized training and the exchange of technical, scientific, and legal data in combating crimes and behaviors threatening forest and wildlife resources were also highlighted.

The meeting featured discussions on the role of police and judiciary in safeguarding forest and wildlife spaces, particularly regarding forest disputes, as well as topics addressing criminal investigations and international security cooperation in protecting the natural environment.

The study day involved participants from the National Security apparatus and the National Agency for Water and Forests, alongside representatives from judicial, academic, and research institutions, as well as trainees from the Royal Institute of Police and the National School of Forestry Engineering.

This initiative is part of the institutional partnership program between the General Directorate of National Security and the National Water and Forests Agency, aimed at supporting training strategies and exchanging expertise in natural environment protection, reinforcing the rule of law, protecting human resources, and instilling governance principles in public service.
