The Regional Directorate of National Education, Preschool, and Sports in Kenitra has firmly denied rumors circulating in several media outlets and on social media regarding a supposed connection between its institution and the alleged suicide of a trainee teacher in Taza, who was said to have been responsible for supervising the baccalaureate exams in Kenitra.

In a clarifying statement received by “Express TV,” the directorate expressed its deep concern regarding the dissemination of what it described as inaccurate information, linking it to its institutions and responsibilities without factual basis. The directorate confirmed that “no trainee teacher was assigned to supervise the baccalaureate exams under its jurisdiction, contrary to what was mentioned in the published articles,” adding that “the examination center at Al-Quds Secondary School, affiliated with the directorate, did not see any student assigned to supervision or among the reserve staff.”

The directorate emphasized its full commitment to the laws and procedures currently in place regarding the organization of the baccalaureate exam, highlighting that it designated supervisors from among the educational staff working within the regional education and training academy in the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, including a reserve rate of 20 percent of teachers to ensure the smooth running of the exams.

The statement also clarified that all individual assignments related to supervision and tasks associated with recording and oversight were prepared by the regional directorate and directed to the relevant examination centers, accompanied by identification badges for each staff member, ensuring transparency and clarity in the organizational process.
