National security forces have arrested 118 individuals, including 16 women and 12 minors, on suspicion of involvement in cheating cases during the national and regional baccalaureate exams for the academic year 2024-2025.
The security operations were conducted in two phases: the first between May 26 and 27, and the second between May 29 and June 2. These operations included field interventions around the exam centers and were carried out in coordination with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance.
The suspects were caught in possession of sophisticated wireless communication devices that were used to facilitate cheating, as well as involvement in disseminating and leaking exam topics on social media.
Search operations resulted in the seizure of 98 mobile phones, 87 discreet earpieces, 641 batteries, 28 internet connection devices, and 7 laptops that were used to facilitate illegal communication during the exams.
The security services confirmed that these operations are part of a strict effort to combat forms of cheating, ensuring the necessary security and organizational conditions to conduct exams transparently and fairly.
