The Moroccan Insurance Association Releases the Tenth Edition of Its Insurance Newsletter
A A

The Moroccan Insurance Association has announced the release of the tenth issue of its semi-annual newsletter, "Insurance Bulletin," which documents the key structural and organizational transformations occurring in the insurance sector in Morocco, highlighting a rapid dynamism towards modernization and international openness.

This new issue emphasizes several pivotal moments that confirm the strategic direction towards building a more efficient and flexible insurance sector, particularly through new digital and regulatory projects, along with active engagement in social and professional issues.

The main highlights of this issue are as follows:

  • Digitalization of Services: The imminent launch of a digital car insurance certificate, along with a multi-channel platform designed to facilitate the payment of civil liability insurance premiums, aims to enhance customer experience and simplify procedures.

  • Anticipated Regulatory Amendments: The sector is preparing for a review of the compensation schedule for car insurance, as well as the integration of insured individuals subject to Article 114 into the National Social Security Fund, marking a qualitative leap in the health insurance landscape in the country.

  • Strengthening Governance: Adoption of a new precautionary framework based on a risk-based solvency approach, which enhances the alignment of the Moroccan system with best practices and international standards.

  • Empowerment and Equality: The issue covers the signing of a gender approach charter between the Moroccan Insurance Association and the Insurance and Social Security Supervisory Authority, a significant event that took place alongside the eleventh session of the Casablanca Insurance Forum, attended by the Minister of Economy and Finance and several stakeholders.

  • Notable International Presence: This issue highlights the sector’s strong participation in various regional and international meetings, including the African Insurance Organization conference in Addis Ababa, the regional seminar in Oman, the SMART Forum in Paris, and other international events that have reinforced Morocco’s position as a key player in the global insurance arena.

  • Focus on Insurance Professions: Attention has been drawn to the profession of "Claims Management Officer," recognized as a central pillar in customer experience and ensuring service quality within the insurance chain.

  • Market Data for 2024: The bulletin presents accurate figures that confirm the continuous growth of the insurance sector in Morocco, reflecting the strength and investment attractiveness of the market.

This issue concludes with a message reaffirming the commitment of the association and professionals to promote innovation, expand coverage, and achieve insurance equity, in order to meet current economic, social, and technological challenges.

The tenth issue of the "Insurance Bulletin" is available in both Arabic and French, and can also be accessed in three languages (Arabic, French, English) via the official website of the association: www.fma.org.ma.
