Texas Deploys National Guard to Address Protests and Maintain Order
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has announced the deployment of the National Guard across various regions of the state to uphold order following a wave of protests in response to the detention of migrants, which prompted President Donald Trump to send troops to Los Angeles.
Abbott emphasized on X that peaceful protest is a legitimate right, whereas any attack on individuals or property constitutes a violation of the law and will result in arrests.
He clarified that the Texas National Guard will provide full support to law enforcement agencies, utilizing all available means and strategies to ensure security and stability within the state.
